Who am I?
My name is Amélie Tupponi.
I am passionate about creation, imagination, and the richness of culture in our world. As a school teacher, my life changed course when I realize one of my biggest dreams: to travel. My love for meeting other people and discovering the history and customs of different countries has given rise to many passions of my life.
Living in Italy, my country of origin, was one of these passions. I moved to Florence where the French school Victor Hugo offered me a teaching position for first grade. During my third year at the school, a project led me to write and illustrate a book for which the students are the main actors.
I offered my classes treasure hunts in the heart of the city of Florence. The challenges and adventure of seeking clues motivated the children. They were quickly engaged by the games.
Following this, I embarked on a project writing an illustrated, youth storybook about Florence, the city I adopted and that I love so much.
This book is the fruit of three years of loving labor. It has been a wonderful adventure that I am delighted to share with you.
